Tahera Vawda
Psychotherapy
I assist individuals navigating the challenges of parenthood while coming to terms with the limitations of their own childhood experiences. I support those striving to avoid burnout but feeling uncertain about where to establish boundaries in their home, workplace, or relationships with family and friends. Additionally, I guide those who find themselves questioning their identities during life transitions and frequently comparing themselves to others.
I use my lived experience and professional knowledge when I work with my clients. I am a first generation Canadian, a wife and a mother. Everyone’s support journey is unique; so too is my approach. I work from a client-centered lens where I specialize in getting to know you; your past experiences. current mindset and your future goals.
Uncovering past traumas and understanding how they continue to influence our day to day can be a delicate experience. Working with me you will get a mix of empathy and support when navigating the past and also a helpful push when we need to apply growth to the present and future.
My Journey Begins
Becoming a mother in my 30s, navigating the noise around parenting, wondering where my career would lead me, the changing world, re-focusing my marriage and supporting aging parents; it felt like it all came at once. Tahera Vawda Psychotherapy Services started from my deep commitment to offering compassionate, patient-centered care supporting those going through a similar journey as myself. I want to create a space where you feel truly heard and supported on your journey to wellness.
